What is the Simple Light Box Sign?

The Simple Light Box Sign is an illuminated projecting box sign, 8″ × 8″ (20 × 20 cm) and extending 16.5″ (42 cm) from the wall. Made from aluminum with PE plastic panels and seamless corners, it runs on 12 V with a 4000–4500K LED output and an integrated dimmer. Five faces are brandable — both sides, the front, the underside and the top.

The Simple Light Box Sign is a type of illuminated projecting sign, also known as a light-up blade sign, LED box sign, illuminated shop sign, or storefront sign. Because it projects from the wall and lights up, it's visible from along the street after dark.

How many sides can be branded?

Five: both sides, the front face, the underside and the top. The underside catches people walking directly beneath it, and the top is visible from upper floors and balconies. You'll need a decal for each face you want branded — worth planning with your signwriter, since five is more than a flat sign requires.

How is the Simple Light Box Sign powered?

The sign runs on 12 V and includes a 6 m cable, an integrated dimmer, and plugs for AU/NZ, US and EU outlets. It can be plugged in or hardwired by a qualified electrician.

The sign itself is weatherproof, but the plug, dimmer and cable connection must be indoors — so an outdoor installation needs the cable run through the wall to an interior power point or switchboard. Measure the full cable path, not just the distance along the wall, when checking the 6 m will reach.

Do I need an electrician to install it?

For a plug-in installation you don't necessarily need one, but any outdoor install involves running the cable through the wall to an indoor connection, so most customers use an electrician. If you're hardwiring, an electrician is required.

How bright is the Simple Light Box Sign?

The LEDs run at 4000–4500K, a neutral white that reads clearly at night without a blue cast. The integrated dimmer lets you adjust brightness to suit your frontage.

Can the Simple Light Box Sign be used outdoors?

Yes — the housing is weatherproof and built for exterior use, with aluminum that won't rust in coastal conditions. The seamless corners have no glued joins for water to get into. The electrical components are not weatherproof and need to be indoors.

Possibly.
