What is the Large Standing Rectangle Sign?
The Large Standing Rectangle Sign is a freestanding pavement sign with a tall rectangular face on a weighted pedestal base. The face is 11″ × 33.5″ (28 × 85 cm), the sign stands 41.9″ (106.3 cm) overall, and it weighs 30.9 lbs (14 kg). The base is hollow and fills with water for extra stability. Made from aluminum and supplied as a blank.
Does it need to be fixed down?
No. It's completely freestanding — no screws, no drilling, nothing permanent. That suits leased premises, footpath trading where signage comes in each night, and events or markets.
Is the Large Standing Rectangle Sign suitable for windy conditions?
Two things. At 30.9 lbs (14 kg) it's substantial on its own — the heaviest freestanding sign we make. The base is also hollow and can be filled with water for additional ballast in exposed spots. Empty it to move or store the sign, and refill when you set it out. In very exposed or coastal locations we'd still recommend bringing it inside overnight or in heavy weather.
Is the Large Standing Rectangle Sign double-sided?
Yes. Both faces show, so the sign reads from either direction along the footpath. If you're having it branded, you'll need a decal for each side.
How big is the branding area?
The sign face is 11″ × 33.5″ (28 × 85 cm) on each side — that's the area a signwriter applies your artwork to. The tall, narrow proportion suits a business name, a list, or an arrow.
Does the Large Standing Rectangle Sign arrive branded?
No — it's supplied as a blank. A local signwriter can apply a vinyl decal to each face. If you need more information, check out our blog post on the sign writing process.
Can I use a marker pen to write on the Large Standing Rectangle Sign?
We don't recommend using any kind of pen or marker on the Large Standing Rectangle Sign. For lettering or artwork, a local signwriter can apply a vinyl decal.
