Metal signage lasts. It doesn't warp in the sun, crack in the cold, or fade the way plastic and composite signs do — and a metal sign still looks considered ten years in, which matters when your signage is the first thing anyone sees.
Nearly everything we make is powder-coated aluminum, chosen for one reason: aluminum doesn't rust. Steel needs coating to survive outdoors and starts corroding the moment that coating is scratched. Aluminum doesn't corrode in the first place, which is why our signs hold up in coastal locations where salt air is hard on everything else.
What we make
Sidewalk signs — folding A-frames, swinging signs and tall standing signs for the footpath, all aluminum so they cope with being outside every day.
Blade signs — projecting wall signs that read from along the street, from small restroom and wayfinding shapes up to storefront signs with an 80 cm face.
Standing signs — freestanding pedestal signs for entrances, forecourts and events, some with water-fillable bases.
Door and window signs — trading hours and open/closed signs that mount to glass.
Everything arrives blank, so a local signwriter applies your artwork and the sign is genuinely yours.
Common questions
Will an aluminum sign rust?
No. Aluminum doesn't rust — it forms a thin oxide layer that protects the metal underneath rather than flaking away the way iron oxide does on steel. That's why we use it for anything going outdoors, and why our signs suit coastal and high-humidity locations.
What does powder-coating do?
Powder coating is baked on rather than sprayed like paint, which gives a harder, thicker finish that resists chipping, peeling and fading. It's what gives our signs their matte texture, and it holds its colour through years of sun exposure.
Metal or plastic — which lasts longer?
Metal, by a wide margin outdoors. Plastic and composite signs become brittle in UV, fade, and warp with temperature swings. Aluminum doesn't do any of those things, which is why the price difference evens out over the life of the sign.
Can metal signs be repainted or refinished?
Yes. A local powder-coating specialist can recoat any of our aluminum signs in a custom colour — useful if your branding changes or you want a shade outside our standard range.
Do metal signs get hot in the sun?
Aluminum conducts heat, so a sign in direct sun will feel warm to touch. It doesn't affect the sign itself — no warping, no fading, no damage to the finish.
How are metal signs fixed to a wall?
Wood screws are included with our wall-mounted signs, designed for solid timber framing. For brick, concrete or render, you'll need masonry anchors from a hardware store. Freestanding signs need no fixings at all.
Do they arrive with branding on them?
No — our signs are supplied blank. A local signwriter applies a vinyl decal, so the artwork is yours rather than chosen from stock designs, and you can change it later without replacing the sign.
