There is little we love more than a well-designed cafe, which leads us to our new favourite: SPICED Coffee Shop. Think modern, warm, muted tones, soft curves — everything you need for a calm setting to drink your morning coffee in Paris, and feel chic while doing so.

The layout is built around texture and colour, but not how you'd expect. The first half of the space, as you walk in, is a palette of neutral tones: plastered counters with rounded edges, warm timber floating shelves, earthy ceramics, and muted blush clay tiles on the countertop. Order your coffee, then make your way to the back of the space, where the vibe shifts.

Cue the slower pace, introducing the coffee drinkers who stay for a while. Deep burgundy, dusty pinks, and warm timber wrap the walls, floor, and tiles, giving it a cosy and cocooned feel. Raw steel tables also add some contrast to cut through the tones.

SPICED hasn't left a stone unturned with their cafe design. They've avoided loud branding and instead focused on understated design to appeal to design and non-design people alike, and we're delighted they've considered one of our menu board designs, the Atelier Letter Board, to complement it. If you're in Paris, make sure to check it out.
