What are Counter Signs?

Counter Signs are small magnetic steel signs for displaying prices, product names and labels on a counter, shelf or till. Each sign face measures 3.5″ × 1.7″ (9 × 4.3 cm), and a pack includes 12 signs and 1,680 magnetic letters, numbers and symbols.

What else are Counter Signs called?

Counter Signs are also known as price tags, price signs, shelf talkers, label holders, or tabletop signs. Because the face is magnetic steel, they can be set with letters, written on in chalk, or given a permanent vinyl decal — so the same sign works for daily specials or fixed labelling.

Yes. Each pack includes 1,680 letters, numbers and symbols, which covers most displays comfortably — but extra Counter Sign letters are available separately if you run short of a particular character.

How do you display a message on the Counter Signs?

Three ways: set the message with the supplied magnetic letters, write directly on the face with chalk, or apply a vinyl decal for something permanent. We don't recommend liquid chalk pens, which can be difficult to remove cleanly from the finish.

Do Counter Signs come with chalk?

No. Chalk isn't included, but standard chalk is available from any stationery or art supplies store. Avoid liquid chalk pens.

What are Counter Signs made from?

Powder-coated steel, which is what makes the face magnetic.

Can Counter Signs be used outdoors?

No. As the Counter Signs are made with steel, this material isn't rust-proof, so it can't be exposed to any moisture.

Great addition to our cake display

Really happy with these counter signs! They look smart and professional, are sturdy and well made, and are very easy to change whenever needed. They’re the perfect size for our café counter and make displaying product names and information look much neater and more organised. Great quality and exactly what we were looking for. Lovely design and definitely helps that they have lines now to keep letters straight. However, magnetism is really weak which is understandable considering how the letters have to be thin.

I just use super glue to hold them in place.

Overall a great product that looks well in the display case which I also purchased. The only con is that maybe the magnetic letters aren’t super strong, so it’s difficult to keep them in line but not a major issue at all.

The price signs are great — the perfect size and fit a lot of numbers and letters

The price signs are great — the perfect size and fit a lot of numbers and letters. I have two issues. First, they're a little light on the magnetic grip. Second, when you peel the numbers out, they sometimes have small edges that need to be trimmed off with scissors. You could cut them out cleanly to begin with, but the thickness makes it hard to cut precisely along the line. One improvement would be making it easier to separate the letters and numbers from each other when you first break them apart.
