Mounting Options

The Café Table can be installed in two ways using the same bracket — either in a tall or short orientation:

Tall Mount: Designed to attach to a bench seat or raised surface. The table sits higher and closer to the wall.

Short Mount: Designed to mount directly to the wall. The table sits lower and extends further out, allowing more legroom.

Both orientations suit either the 15.7" (40 cm) or 23.6" (60 cm) round tabletop sizes. The bracket is reversible, so you can choose the setup that best fits your space.

What is the Wall Mounted Café Table?

The Wall Mounted Café Table is a space-saving round table that fixes to the wall, with no legs to work around. It comes with a 15.7″ (40 cm) or 23.6″ (60 cm) tabletop, is made from aluminum and zinc-coated steel, weighs 8.4 lbs (3.8 kg) and holds up to 17.6 lbs (8 kg). It suits indoor and outdoor use.

What else is it called?

A wall-mounted table, fold-down café table, bistro table, or space-saving table. It's used in cafés, bars and restaurants where floor space is tight, and in narrow spaces a freestanding table wouldn't fit.

What are the two mounting orientations?

The same pole flips to give two setups. Tall mounts to a bench seat or raised surface — the table sits higher and closer to the wall, at 18.1″ (46 cm) from tabletop to stem. Short mounts directly to the wall — the table sits lower and reaches further out, at 11″ (28 cm) from tabletop to stem, giving more legroom.

How far does the table extend from the wall?

It depends on size and orientation. The 40 cm table reaches 18.1″ (46 cm) in tall mount or 25.2″ (64 cm) in short. The 60 cm table reaches 22″ (56 cm) in tall or 29.1″ (74 cm) in short.

Do I choose a table height when ordering?

No. One mounting pole ships with every table and flips to either orientation, so you can decide at installation — or change it later.

How much weight does the Wall Mounted Café Table hold?

Up to 17.6 lbs (8 kg) — enough for drinks, plates and a laptop.

What walls can it be installed on?

The fixings supplied are timber screws, so the table needs to fix into solid timber framing. For masonry, plasterboard or other wall types, consult a qualified builder before installing — your installer may need to add timber bracing or specify alternative fixings. Because the table cantilevers off the wall with weight on it, a secure fixing matters more than the 3.8 kg suggests.

Can it be removed and brought inside easily?

Yes, with the removable bracket, sold separately. The bracket fixes permanently to the wall and the table slots in and out of it, so you can take it in at the end of each day — useful for outdoor seating or footpath trading. Without the bracket, the table fixes permanently in place.

Can the Wall Mounted Café Table be used outdoors?

Yes. The aluminum tabletop won't rust and the zinc-coated steel resists corrosion, so the table suits covered outdoor areas as well as interiors.

Does it need a builder to install?

It can be installed with a drill, but we recommend an experienced builder to make sure the fixings hit solid timber. Instructions and timber screws are included.
